Cyberbullying Presentation
Posted 02/23/2010 01:21PM
Cyberbullying occurs when the Internet, cell phones, or other devices are used to send or post text or images intended to badly hurt or embarrass someone.  It is an ever-growing and very serious problem in today's world of constant and easy-to-access technology.  Mr. Zaluski encourages all parents to mark their calendars for Thursday, March 11th, when the Florida Assistant Attorney General's Office will present a program on this important subject.  Students in Grades Four through Eight will hear the program during the day, but at 6:30 that evening in the Clough Chapel, a more in-depth version will be presented for Gulf Stream mothers and fathers.  It is important to note that children are not invited to the evening session as it is not appropriate for them.  Says Mr. Zaluski, "I strongly urge all parents to attend so they can hear firsthand and become better prepared for the issues surrounding misuse of the Internet and social networking sites."
